This is a courtesy translation. The Korean version is the binding one — if the two ever disagree, the Korean text governs.

SmartCopy does not collect personal data. The program runs entirely on your own computer and makes no outside connection at all until you type an address into the settings yourself. This document exists to spell out what "does not collect" means, so you can check it.

1. What the program leaves on your computer

All of it is written under %LOCALAPPDATA%\SmartCopy and none of it leaves.

2. What can leave your computer

Everything here is off by default. The program uses no network until you put an address in the settings. Even when you turn something on, this is the whole list.

Notices — receives only. Nothing is sent.
Update check — asks for a version number and receives it. It does not download or install anything.
Send statistics — you have to switch this on yourself, and even then it shows you exactly what would be sent before sending it. File paths, file names, and anything that identifies a person are not included.

Exactly one file, outreach.py, is allowed to use the network; a test fails if any other file tries. The source is public, so you can check this yourself rather than take our word for it.

3. This website

No ads, no tracking code, and no cookies.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is switched on to count visits. It sets no cookies and does not identify you or follow you to other sites. What we see is aggregate — how many times a page was opened, roughly which country and browser. We cannot tell who opened it.
Your browser's localStorage keeps your language and light/dark choice, nothing else. It never leaves your computer and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Fonts are fetched from Google Fonts. Your IP address may reach that service in the process — we receive nothing from it.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which may keep access logs as part of providing the service. We do not collect or retain those logs ourselves.
We count downloads. Four things are recorded: the date, the file name, the country, and which site you came from. Your IP address, the time of day, and your browser are not recorded. For the referring site we keep only the host name, not the full address — we would like to know which sites send people here, not what those people were reading. Visits to the front page are counted the same way. One row covers one (date, file, country, referrer) combination and only a number goes up, so individual people are never separated out.

4. Sharing with third parties

We collect no personal data, so there is none to share with anyone or to hand to a processor.

5. Your rights

We hold no information about you, so there is nothing for you to request access to, correct, or delete on our side. What the program leaves on your own computer you can remove yourself using the methods in section 1. If anything is unclear, please ask us at the address below.

We will note what changed and the effective date on this page, and record the change in the CHANGELOG.
